Hydroelectric power plant on the Adda river - Alta Valtellina

The engineering studio has been involved in the preliminary design inherent to a large deviation on the Adda River basin. This project foresees a rationalization and optimization of the water resource that currently feeds the hydroelectric plants of Grosio, Grosotto, Lovero and Stazzona. The company Rezia Idroelettrica S.r.l., a subsidiary of Bissi Holding, has requested a large offshoot in order to take advantage of the abovementioned concessions, which are currently outdated.

The search for a technical solution to allow to better take advantage of the available resource and, at the same time, guarantee a better environmental and landscape aspect, has required a notable investment in terms of energy and time. In the proposed design solution, an attempt was also made to reduce the impact of the site on the territory, hence drastically limiting road transport.
